Mississippi Mound Trail

The Mississippi Mound Trail, established in 2016, is a self-guided driving tour located along Highway 61 in the Mississippi Delta, running parallel to the Mississippi River. It aims to raise awareness and enhance protection for the multitude of pre-contact Native American mounds and earthworks scattered throughout Mississippi, featuring 33 historical markers along the route to guide visitors through these significant archaeological sites.
