DeSoto Family Theatre (DFT) presents family productions throughout the year at the Landers Center Theater, which is adjacent to the Landers Center. Shows like The Sound of Music, The Diary of Anne Frank and Annie are just a few. In addition, DFT conducts summer theatre camps and performance classes. DeSoto Family Theatre seeks to provide quality entertainment appropriate for the entire family while offering opportunities for participation and education in the art of theatre for DeSoto County and the surrounding community. Marty Stuart’s Congress of Country Music is a music attraction located in Philadelphia, Mississippi. Currently, the project consists of a performance arts center in the newly renovated Ellis Theater. The Corinth Coliseum, also known as the Coliseum Theatre, is a historic performing arts venue. Constructed in 1924, the Coliseum Theatre stands as the largest theater edifice in North Mississippi and an outstanding example of movie palace architecture. Initially serving as a venue for vaudeville acts and silent films, the Coliseum transitioned exclusively to a movie theater by the mid-1970s. Following a restoration in the 1980s, the venue transitioned to hosting a variety of cultural events, including concerts, theatrical performances, and community gatherings, while also serving as the home of the Corinth Symphony Orchestra. Recognized for its historical and architectural significance, the Coliseum was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
