Corinth Coliseum

The Corinth Coliseum, also known as the Coliseum Theatre, is a historic performing arts venue. Constructed in 1924, the Coliseum Theatre stands as the largest theater edifice in North Mississippi and an outstanding example of movie palace architecture. Initially serving as a venue for vaudeville acts and silent films, the Coliseum transitioned exclusively to a movie theater by the mid-1970s. Following a restoration in the 1980s, the venue transitioned to hosting a variety of cultural events, including concerts, theatrical performances, and community gatherings, while also serving as the home of the Corinth Symphony Orchestra. Recognized for its historical and architectural significance, the Coliseum was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
