Rosalie Mansion and Gardens

Built in 1823, Rosalie Mansion is a stunning pre-Civil War estate in Natchez that is open for tours daily. The home’s elegant design inspired many of the grand Greek Revival homes that define Natchez today. During the Civil War, one week after the Siege of Vicksburg, General Ulysses S. Grant took possession of the mansion and used it as the U.S. Army headquarters for the area. Recognized for its historical significance, the mansion was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1989. Today, it stands as a beautifully preserved house museum, offering visitors a glimpse into the South’s rich history and architectural legacy. The home is owned, operated, and maintained by the Mississippi State Society Daughters of the American Revolution.
